He holds a Georgia Institute of Technology degree as a Bachelor in Architecture. He is also a Master of Arts in Urban Lighting from University of Wisconsin, MBA from Georgia State University, and successfully completed two post graduate diplomas in lighting sciences from the University of Colorado and Georgia Institute of Technology as well as photovoltaic design diploma from Hangzhou Zhejiang University, China.
Fernando has a long experience in manufacturing owning a manufacturing and engineering plant that produced components and lighting assemblies from 1995 through 2010 with operations both in the US as well as in Chile. This experience has taken him to design and resolve projects incorporating the latest technologies in optics by creating customized optical assemblies as well as new light sources, such as Light Emitting Diodes better known as LED lighting.
Fernando got involved with the first LED/Photovoltaic highway lighting project in the State of Utah.
His career has trained him to understand and be involved with construction processes of various natures.
Fernando has been involved with the design and EPC of photovoltaic projects, both in the USA and Chile.He has been involved with the designed and EPC of a Biomass project in Constitución, Chile
